Job Overview
We are seeking a part time Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This position will primarily assist the CDL Chef in cleaning and food prep tasks. This position offers consistent hours Monday-Thursday.
The MU Child Development Laboratory (CDL) is an educational setting for community children and a teaching and research laboratory for University students, faculty and staff. The CDL operates a full-day, full-year teacher-training lab school affiliated with the Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) within the College of Education and Human Development.
Duties
- Dishwashing
- General cleaning and specialized cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Documentation of temperatures and food expiration dates
- Daily food prep of a variety of fresh vegetables and meats
- Assistance in the completion of kitchen administration tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or HiSet
- No Kitchen experience required
- Current Boone County Food Handlers Card preferred, not required
Position Details
- Hours: 15-20 hours per week
- Schedule: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. or 12 p.m. – 3 p.m., Monday – Thursday
- Pay Range: $16 - $17 per hour
- Appointment Length: Permanent. T
- The center is closed during University of Missouri observed holidays.
