Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Laboratory Assistant based in Charleston, SC. The Laboratory Assistant will support laboratory operations by handling and maintaining lab equipment, ensuring quality control standards, and performing various laboratory tasks. Laboratory Technician performs duties associated with laboratory facility organization, management and maintenance, laboratory preparation, equipment utilization, and procurement.
Minimum Requirements:
An associate degree in a relevant scientific discipline. Experience with greenhouse maintenance preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Requires Knowledge of general laboratory procedures and safety regulations and adheres to established laboratory protocols
- Experience with Laboratory Equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong Laboratory Skills and ability to conduct precise experimental procedures
- Effective Communication skills for working collaboratively and documenting results clearly
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Familiarity with safety regulations and proper laboratory practices
- Preferred skills and knowledge include greenhouse facility maintenance, general repair, media preparation, and lab safety.
- An ability to perform basic math calculation is essential.
- Should be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must posses a valid SC driver's license
