Staff RN
College Hospital is seeking Staff RN's to provide care to patients in private practice settings. The position requires candidates who are comfortable working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff, document patient notes, and follow up on any outstanding issues. Assumes responsibility for completing assigned duties and for supervision of non-licensed nursing staff, LVNs and LPTs. The position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient notes, charts, and electronic medical records.
Openings: (Overtime Available)
1 opening Sat & Sun 7am-730pm for EICU.
1 opening Sat & Sun 7pm-730am for YS.
1 opening Sat & Sun 7pm-730am for DDMI Adol.
CA RN lic & BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
**Extra one (1) or two (2) 8-hour shifts may be elected by candidate if available depending on staffing needs.
Duties:
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills of delegation, organization, and coordination in managing assigned unit.
- Continuously assesses and improves the performance of care and services provided on assigned unit/staff.
- Implements care of patients, specific to their age and cognitive functioning, on assigned unit in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner.
- Keeps current with legal issues/legislation affecting practice area on a regular basis.
- Monitors all patients for evidence of danger to self or others and reports immediately to treatment team.
- Assists staff in implementing established Behavior Intervention Plan for each patient.
- Responds to the unit needs with flexibility regarding schedules and resolution of staffing conflicts.
- Effectively performs additional duties and responsibilities as position requires.
Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- BLS or ACLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Ability to assess the specific needs for patients on unit assigned based on their age and cognitive functioning.
- Basic computer skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $44.00 - $64.38 per hour
