Project Architect and Senior Project Manager | Collective Architecture
Collective Architecture is seeking a Project Architect and Senior Project Manager to join our Washington, DC team.
This is a leadership role for someone who wants more than production work. We are looking for someone ready to own projects, lead teams, build meaningful client relationships, and directly influence both design and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead projects from concept through construction
with full ownership of design, documentation, and
delivery
• Serve as a primary client contact and build strong
relationships throughout the life of a project
• Direct and coordinate internal teams and
consultants across all phases
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and overall
execution strategy
• Lead technical documentation and ensure design
intent is carried through construction
• Manage construction administration including
RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Perform code analysis including zoning,
accessibility, and life safety requirements
• Mentor and develop junior staff and contribute to a
strong collaborative team environment
• Support business development efforts including
client presentations and strategic pursuits
Qualifications
• Professional degree in Architecture, Interior
Design, or related discipline
• 10 plus years of professional experience
• Architectural licensure or NCIDQ certification
strongly encouraged
• Strong proficiency in Revit and experience with 3D
modeling and visualization tools preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage
teams, and interface directly with clients
• Experience across all phases of design and
construction
• Strong understanding of building systems,
construction documentation, and applicable
codes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and
organizational skills
• A proactive and solutions oriented mindset with a
high level of accountability
