Mental Health Clinician

Collaborators for Health is a small private practice consisting of behavioral health specialists. We focus on promoting total wellness for the mind and body. Our mission is to help our patients to thrive in today's environment. Collaborators for Health works in tandem with the medical community, offering individual and group psychotherapy, neurofeedback, and health coaching. Neuropsychological evaluations are offered to our patients and we utilize technology in our practice. We seek a remote and/or in-person full-time or part-time therapist, licensed or seeking licensure in the state of California. We can assist you in building a practice of your choosing, treating 15 to 40 patients/clients per week. ​Therapist Job Responsibilities:

• Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
• Diagnoses and treats mental health and some physical health disorders.
• Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
• Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment, and to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Conducts ongoing assessments to monitor patient progress.
• Involves and advises family members when appropriate.
• Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
• Is familiar with and has a desire to work with the medical community.
• Maintains thorough records of patient sessions and progress.
• Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality per licensing board and state laws.
• Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Have computer/laptop, strong internet connection, and good lighting, and microphone/earphones.
• Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are encouraged to apply.
• The desire or interest in running group therapy sessions is a plus!

Work Hours & Benefits

• $30 to $60 an hour

Therapist Qualifications/Skills:

• Interest in private practice and willing to learn
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy
• Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
• Current with all mental health state licensing agencies, including LPCCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, SLPs, OTs, PTs, Ph.D./Psy.D., MHPNPs, PAs, and NPs.
