Description
CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, is looking for a temporary Warming Center Data Entry Admin. The Warming Center provides emergency overnight shelter for the unhoused from November through March. The Warming Center provides a warm safe place for unsheltered individuals to spend the night during the winter months.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Warming Center operations, including answering and forwarding calls; research referrals; receive and send emails/texts, responding to staff and guest questions and needs.
- Accurately enter and update various types of data into the HMIS system, including alphanumeric, numeric, and text-based information.
- Review and verify HMIS data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Identify and correct any errors or discrepancies.
- Work efficiently to meet data entry targets and deadlines. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
Hourly Rate: $18.00 | $100 Holiday Shift Pay on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day
Flexible Schedule | Up to 29 hours per week | No benefits
Requirements
- Proficiency in using data entry software and Microsoft Office applications REQUIRED.
- High School diploma or GED. Additional data entry training or certifications is a plus.
- Prior experience with HMIS a plus.
- Proven experience in data entry or a related administrative role, with excellent typing speed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
- Familiarity with data management systems and basic database operations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet data entry deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and data organization skills to manage large volumes of information.
- Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
- Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
