About Collaborative Real Estate
Collaborative Real Estate (CRE) develops, manages, and activates real estate within university-affiliated research and innovation ecosystems. Our properties are designed to foster connection, collaboration, and long-term community impact. Select CRE venues host curated events that align with our mission, brand standards, and operating philosophy.
The Role
The Event Sales & Venue Experience Manager is responsible for selling select CRE event spaces in Tech Square / Midtown Atlanta and stewarding the client relationship from initial inquiry through post-event load-out.
This role serves as the primary venue representative, ensuring clarity, readiness, and on-site oversight while maintaining clear boundaries between venue support and event production. This is a relationship-driven, operations-oriented role focused on venue stewardship, expectation-setting, and executional oversight, not hands-on event planning or vendor management.
What You’ll Do
- Event Sales & Client Engagement
- Lead tours of CRE event space(s) and represent venues clearly and confidently
- Respond to inbound event inquiries and guide clients through pricing, availability, and booking
- Prepare and execute contracts and invoices in coordination with internal systems
- Maintain an accurate event calendar and sales pipeline
Pre-Event Venue Coordination (Lead → Readiness)
- Serve as the primary venue point of contact once contracts are executed
- Provide high-level guidance on venue-specific requirements, including: approved and preferred vendors, load-in and load-out instructions, insurance and COI requirements, space capabilities, restrictions, and policies
- Coordinate and schedule site visits as needed
- Collect and review required venue documentation (COIs, floor plans, timeliness)
- Confirm room layouts and space usage in alignment with venue standards
** Clients and event hosts are responsible for vendor coordination, event programming, and production execution.
On-Site Event Oversight (Load-In → Event → Load-out)
- Be present on site during events as the venue representative
- Provide venue access and ensure approved layouts and timelines are followed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for venue-related questions or issues
- Troubleshoot and escalate venue-related concerns in real-time
- Enforce venue policies and protect the integrity of the space
Post-Event Walkthrough & Space Reset
- Conduct post-event walkthroughs
- Document damages, cleaning issues, or policy violations
- Ensure space reset and readiness for the next scheduled use
- Coordinate internal follow-up related to venue condition as needed
What Success Looks Like
- Clients clearly understand venue expectations and responsibilities
- Events run smoothly with minimal venue-related friction or surprises
- Event spaces are protected, respected, and efficiently reset
- Internal teams and clients trust you as the single source of truth for venue support
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience in event sales, venue management, hospitality, or operations
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple events and priorities
- Confident setting clear boundaries and expectations
- Calm, professional presence in live event environments
- Willingness to occassionally work outside of regular business/hours
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting multi-use or high-volume event venues
- Familiarity with COIs, venue policies, and event logistics
- Strong judgment around when to step in versus when to remain hands-off
