1065 The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking a
substitute teacher to teach at-risk adolescents in residential
facilities run by the Department of Youth Services. This is an excellent
opportunity to experience teaching in an alternative setting in which
you can make a difference in the life of a young person. We hope you

interested in you. We are a progressive and innovative non-profit
organization dedicated to providing personalized and engaging education
to youth placed in DYS programs across Massachusetts. We are seeking
experienced and aspiring educators who are passionate about making a
difference through substitute teaching. Our teachers have small classes,
averaging 5 students, provided work plans for our substitutes and
behavior support in the classroom. Students have access to a wide range
of behavioral and therapeutic supports available to support their
success, including clinical, behavioral, and guidance services. Our
students are budding artists, scientists, musicians, college students,
neighbors, and future change agents eager to be seen, experience hope,
and contribute. We believe everyone is a learner, and seek educators who
value social justice and equity, compassion, patience, and flexibility.

have been placed at risk. You welcome an opportunity to teach small,
personalized classes which focus on academic and behavioral success.
Highlights of What You Will Do: Provide effective, high quality, direct
educational instruction to youth assigned to DYS. Participate and
implement effective instructional strategies and research based
curriculum. Provide substitute teaching instruction, which may involve
traveling between locations. Substitute Pay is based on experience
