We are seeking an experienced Assistant Clinical Director to join our leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a role where your clinical expertise, supervisory skills, and leadership experience will shape the future of our clinic.
The Opportunity
This role blends direct client care, clinical oversight, management, and operational leadership. We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years (ideally 5 ) of leadership experience in a similar role who can hit the ground running, support our clinicians, and strengthen our systems.
What You’ll Do
- Provide therapy to a manageable caseload of clients.
- Directly manage administrative and billing staff, including supervision, scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing development.
- Lead recruitment and hiring for new therapists, including job postings, screening, and onboarding.
- Mentor and consult with clinicians to ensure high-quality care and professional growth.
- Partner with administrative staff on compliance, credentialing, and auditing.
- Lead or co-lead projects to improve clinic workflows, systems, and outcomes.
- Oversee and participate in marketing and outreach, including supporting marketing materials, online presence, and community engagement.
- Contribute to clinic-wide policies, trainings, and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a key partner to the Clinical Director and leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Active, unrestricted license in Minnesota (LPCC, LMFT, LICSW, PsyD/PhD). Would prefer someone also licensed in Wisconsin or willing to obtain Wisconsin licensure as well.
- 3 years (ideally 5 ) in a clinical leadership role (Assistant Director, Supervisor, Manager, or similar). Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in managing administrative/billing staff and hiring new clinicians.
- Experience with marketing and outreach preferred.
- Proven ability to successfully mentor and guide clinicians.
- Strong organizational skills and a collaborative leadership style.
