Job Summary:
The Information Specialist II is responsible for accurate and timely registration of adverse event and product quality reports, ensuring data integrity and compliance with required timelines. This role supports clinical and post-marketing case management, performs quality reviews, identifies workflow gaps, and communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately register adverse events and product quality reports from initial receipt to data entry within required timeframes.
• Perform quality review of external provider reconciliation tasks for clinical and post-marketing cases, including medical information, product complaints, and third-party vendor cases.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with customers verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize judgment to identify workflow issues and implement effective solutions.
• Identify gaps or areas needing improvement and recommend or implement changes.
• Support departmental needs by performing tasks outside of assigned responsibilities.
• Effectively prioritize and manage time to complete assignments.
Required Qualifications:
• 3 to 5 years of experience managing large quantities of information, data, or documents in structured databases or filing systems.
• 6 months to 1 year of similar work experience in clinical, regulatory, or medical settings preferred.
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.
• Effective time management and ability to multi-task.
• Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior experience in regulatory or medical environments.
