Job Summary:
A leading healthcare technology organization is seeking a Junior Refurbishment Engineer to support the evaluation, refurbishment, testing, and qualification of components used in diagnostic equipment. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, repair activities, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure refurbished parts meet quality, performance, and reliability standards. The ideal candidate is technically curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish components and spare parts for reuse in field operations
• Perform testing, verification, and qualification activities to ensure component performance and reliability
• Follow established procedures and maintain accurate documentation for refurbishment activities
• Support quality and regulatory compliance requirements within a controlled manufacturing environment
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and operations teams to resolve technical issues
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve refurbishment processes and repair workflows
• Participate in root cause investigations and failure analysis activities as needed
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal quality standards
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent hands-on technical experience may be considered
• Experience with troubleshooting, testing, repair, maintenance, or qualification of equipment and components
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, or electromechanical systems
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing, laboratory, medical device, diagnostics, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environment
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Exposure to validation, verification, calibration, or quality systems activities
• Experience with failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
