Summary:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to support accounting and financial reporting activities related to content licensing agreements.
- This role is responsible for month-end close, revenue recognition, general ledger reconciliations, audit support, and financial analysis within a fast-paced entertainment/media environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, revenue recognition, and trial balance reconciliations
- Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and resolve variances
- Analyze licensing agreements and apply contractual terms for revenue and payment calculations
- Support GAAP compliance, SOX controls, and internal/external audits
- Perform variance analysis, FX analysis, forecast vs. actual reporting, and bad debt analysis
- Review and validate accounting transactions within licensing/accounting systems
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and support cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-6 years of accounting or revenue accounting experience
- Strong experience with general ledger reconciliations and month-end close
- Solid understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA preferred
- Experience with SAP and/or Ora_cle Fusion Cloud ERP
- Entertainment/media industry experience preferred
- Experience supporting audits and SOX compliance
Additional Information:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Occasional overtime may be required during close cycles and audits.
