The Cashier/Counter Attendant is the welcoming first point of contact for guests at The Faregrounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Welcome every guest in a friendly, professional manner; answer basic questions about menus, ingredients, pricing, and service flow; and help guests select items when appropriate.
  • Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system, process cash and credit-card payments, issue receipts, and follow all cash-handling and drawer-security procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and guest-ready counter area, including menus, condiments, beverage stations, pickup shelves, disposable serviceware, and dining-area touchpoints as assigned.
  • Follow all company food-safety, sanitation, personal-hygiene, and safety practices, including proper handling of allergen-related questions and escalation of dietary requests to a supervisor or kitchen team member.
  • Support responsible alcohol service when assigned to an alcohol-service location: check identification, follow company age-verification procedures, recognize when to request manager assistance, and never serve alcohol outside established policy.
  • Assist with opening, closing, restocking, basic inventory counts, cleaning, trash removal, and event-day setup or breakdown as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with cooks, bartenders, other counter attendants, and management to maintain quick, accurate service during high-volume periods, events, and swim meets.
  • Learn and follow all Faregrounds operational standards, appearance expectations, and guest-service procedures; be willing to work at multiple concepts as trained.
