About the Position
The Transload Loader is responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of fuel products from various transport vehicles such as trucks, railcars, or containers. This role is crucial in ensuring that goods are handled properly to minimize damage and support the smooth operation of our logistics network. The successful candidate will develop a strong teamwork approach in maintaining good relations with customers, drivers, co-workers, and suppliers in a professional and profitable manner with honesty and integrity. This position is a swing shift, with a start time of 2:00 pm and will include weekends as required.
What You’ll Do
- Loading and unloading a variety of bulk liquid products.
- Operate railcar loading systems and equipment.
- Communicate with drivers, transloading team, and management team.
- Follows operational guidelines and procedures / Participate in safety training.
- Keeps storage containers neat and clean / Assists with maintenance and clean-up.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Proven skill as a self-starter that works as a team member under direction of supervisor.
- Ability to clearly organize and effectively convey information.
- Demonstrated ability to muti-task.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
- Interact and collaborate with other team members professionally.
- A willingness to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as nature of transloading operation is subject to supply and availability.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors and be exposed to varied weather conditions (i.e.: heat, wet, cold, etc.)
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, pull and push.
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Flexibility with scheduling – will require working on weekends and holidays.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
