We have one position open for a qualified candidate who resides in the Kennewick, WA area. The Outside Sale Representative is responsible for prospecting new customers and managing an assigned pre-existing customer base within the defined regions by applying a consultative sales approach to uncover and address changing business needs. The Outside Sales Representative is expected to spend 50% of the time on prospecting new customers.This position is also responsible for continuous promotion of products and services offered by the company, must own the sales cycle from lead generation to closure and maintain account and opportunity forecasting within our internal customer relations management system, develop strategic territory business plans and maintain ongoing communication with the Director of Sales and Operations.What You’ll DoManage the sales, service, and growth development of assigned key commercial accounts within a defined marketing territory.Execute company defined sales process, from lead generation to account closing, to include planning, scheduling, and conducting regular sales calls.Identify, document, and satisfy the supply and service demands of our customers according to the company brand standard. Be alert to customer needs, challenges and obstacles and develop service solutions to resolve the customer’s complete satisfaction. Follow industry news and stay informed about new products and research.Provide market intelligence regarding competitive products, services, pricing programs and/or marketing strategies identified through the course of business and customer dialogue and report back to sales team to improve company market position and prevent customer attrition. Maintain high standards of courtesy and respect for all customers and fellow employees. Develop professional relationships with customers.Prepare and complete customer paperwork timely, accurately, and legibly to assure product quality.Participate in individual performance review meetings, industry trade events and/or training sessions/modules as assigned.Attend department and safety meetings when scheduled. Complete other duties as assigned.Requirements Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceTwo years sales experience with B2B.Comfortable working with petroleum, auto, transport, and agriculture industry.Willing and able to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, as well as other regions, sometimes in short-notice and/or for extended periods of time.Manage competing tasks and priorities.Self-motivated and can work independently to meet or exceed sales goals.Have a high degree of organizational skills and be able to work directly with decision makers.Personal appearance must be neat and well groomed.Ability to work normal business hours Monday through Friday — 8 hours a day, with additional hours as required to meet customer needs or participate in company and/or supplier sponsored events and trade shows.Ability to be available to customers in the evenings and weekends.
