About the Role
Coleman Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Survey Technician to support our growing Surveying Division in Savannah, GA. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong technical drafting skills and a passion for producing accurate, high-quality survey documents. The Survey Technician will work closely with field crews, project managers, and engineers to prepare plats, drawings, and technical exhibits using AutoCAD and related drafting tools.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate with strong surveying technology skills and at least 2 years of experience preparing plats and survey documents using AutoCAD or similar software. The ideal applicant is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively with field and office teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and analyze survey field data collected by survey crews.
- Prepare office surveys and reduce field notes into accurate digital deliverables.
- Perform basic mathematical and trigonometric calculations as required.
- Create plats, drawings, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, tree surveys, and exhibits using AutoCAD.
- Review and analyze data for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness.
- Coordinate with field crews, engineers, and project managers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Formal training in surveying or a related technical field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with surveying technology and CAD production.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD is required.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
- High moral and ethical character.
