Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., Florida’s largest full-service civil litigation firm, continues to grow and is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its Tampa office.
Qualified candidates must be a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) or Certified Paralegal (CP), or have a certificate from an ABA-approved program. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant paralegal experience, with a strong background in insurance defense litigation. Ideal applicants will be knowledgeable in all phases of litigation, including document management, legal research, discovery, and trial preparation. Trial experience is a plus. Medical Malpractice experience is plus!
Prior billing experience is preferred; all candidates must bill their time contemporaneously in accordance with firm and client billing guidelines.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting attorneys in case management from inception through trial
- Organizing, analyzing, and reviewing court documents and case materials
- Coordinating discovery and preparing related responses and documentation
- Conducting legal research as needed
- Preparing subpoenas, exhibits, trial binders, and other pre-trial materials
- Accurately and timely entering billable time on a daily basis
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Insurance defense background preferred
- Prior billing experience with contemporaneous time entry required
- Must be a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) or Certified Paralegal (CP)
- Strong understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and e-filing procedures
