Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our Tampa office immediately. This is a full-time, in-person position focused exclusively on Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation matters.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of independently managing litigation files in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a strong understanding of Florida litigation procedures, litigation deadlines, discovery practice, and trial preparation.
This role is best suited for a paralegal who thrives in a litigation-heavy environment and wants to be part of a growing trial-focused law firm.
Responsibilities
* Manage a personal injury litigation caseload from lawsuit filing through trial
* Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, discovery, and correspondence
* Coordinate and manage discovery, including document collection, review, and production
* Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, hearings, mediations, and trial schedules
* Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and expert scheduling
* Organize medical records, billing records, exhibits, and evidentiary materials
* Assist attorneys with trial preparation, witness coordination, exhibit preparation, and trial binders
* Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, judicial assistants, experts, and court personnel
* Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
* Utilize litigation software, e-filing systems, and case management platforms efficiently
* Support attorneys in preparing cases aggressively and strategically for litigation and trial
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience required
* Prior Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation experience strongly preferred
* Strong understanding of Florida State Court litigation procedures and deadlines
* Federal Court litigation experience is a plus
* Experience handling discovery, subpoenas, motions, and trial preparation
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and staff
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, e-filing systems, and legal case management software
* Paralegal certificate, degree, or equivalent litigation experience preferred
