Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Supervisor / Foreman – Roto Milling to lead roadway milling operations and manage day-to-day field activities. This position is responsible for supervising milling crews, coordinating equipment and trucking, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with project specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on roto milling experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to keep projects running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily roto milling operations on roadway
- Lead and direct milling crews, while working well with crews
- Coordinate milling equipment, water trucks, and transport
- Read and interpret project plans, grades, and specifications
- Ensure quality control of milling depth, profile, and finished surface
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies at all times
- Conduct daily safety meetings and job briefings
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Maintain job site documentation, daily reports, and production records
- Assist with equipment inspections, maintenance coordination, and troubleshooting
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of construction experience, preferably in roto milling or asphalt operations
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor running milling crews
- Strong understanding of milling equipment, production sequencing, and roadway construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Experience coordinating trucking and production logistics
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and job site safety practices
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training required
- Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
