Program Director, Coldharbour Institute
Coldharbour Institute is seeking an experienced Program Director to coordinate and lead our diverse educational experiences, outreach, and research initiatives. This is a year-round, full-time, salaried position that will work closely with the Executive Director to achieve our mission. Core Responsibilities
The Program Director will be responsible for a dynamic set of duties focused on education, team coordination, operations, and outreach. Job duties will include:
- Program Management
Lead existing outreach and education programs. Provide diverse, high-quality education experiences, ensuring programs are engaging and align with the Coldharbour's goals. This will include scheduling and planning events, developing content with Coldharbour team member and partners, and independently implementing activities.
- Program Development
Develop and implement programming that aligns with Coldharbour's mission, expanding the organization's impact amongst our constituents. This will include tracking impact of program objectives and grow professional partnerships with universities, organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Team Coordination
In partnership with the Executive Director the Program Coordinator will oversee and mentor interns and fellows, facilitating their professional growth and program contributions. Program Coordinator will schedule and lead team work days at the Coldharbour ranch.
- Operations and Infrastructure Management
Manage logistical coordination for programs and essential Coldharbour functions. Assist with land and infrastructure management, contributing to the maintenance of Coldharbour equipment and facilities.
Events, Marketing, and Outreach:
Lead event management and planning for workshops, conferences, and other gatherings. Develop and execute marketing materials to promote programs and Coldharbour's mission.
Spearhead outreach activities, utilizing both online and in-person strategies to attract participants and build community engagement.
Assist in maintaining an active, engaging social media presence (Facebook, Instagram)
Create regular email blasts (content)
Perform regular website updates (Weebly)
Other Support:
· Complete limited grant reporting and writing tasks, contributing to the financial health and sustainability of the Institute.
· Manage Google Drive
Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following qualifications to be considered for this vital role:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in related field
- Professional experience with program management and administration with a track record of excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
- Proven leadership and team management experience in team management, with a focus on coordinating and mentoring staff, interns, or volunteers.
- Proven initiative with the ability to be highly self-directed and accountable while managing multiple projects, budgets, and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Communication Skills: Highly professional demeanor and strong communication skills (written and verbal) for effective partnership building and public representation. Experience managing social media and email communication platforms
- Logistical Acumen: Experience with logistical planning and coordination, including event management.
Preferred: Experience with grant writing/reporting and land/facility management is a plus.
Compensation and Application
- Position Type: Full-time, salaried.
- Salary Range: $50,000 - $54,000 per year commensurate with experience.
- Paid Time off.
