Territory Sales Manager (Food) – Job Description
The Territory Sales Manager (Food) oversee multiple account sales representatives and drives growth within key accounts. Responsibilities include managing customer relationships, developing sales strategies, and ensuring all operational needs of key accounts are met.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise and support multiple account sales representatives.
- Maintain and grow key account business, either directly or by assisting the sales team.
- Coordinate all key account needs, including product requirements, delivery schedules, reporting, communication, and new business opportunities.
- Establish pricing strategies that meet profitability goals.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for increased sales within assigned accounts.
- Develop sales forecasts, set goals, and track performance for key account activities.
- Prepare financial reports and detailed customer analyses.
- Meet or exceed sales goals for key account business.
- Communicate with customers to understand and address their needs, providing recommendations and solutions.
Compensation
$85,100 – $111,500
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4–6 years of sales management experience in the foodservice distribution industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or related field
- 6–10 years of sales management experience in foodservice distribution
