Overview
Woodbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center seeks dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisors to join our team as we reach new heights in Rehab and Nursing Care. The RN Supervisor is responsible for ensuring quality nursing care and services. The RN Supervisor/helps to ensure that the quality of nursing care remains in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures and always remains in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Functions
- Assures adequate staffing for the responsible shift and oncoming shifts.
- Receives report, makes rounds, and visits residents on report to assess their condition and adequacy of treatment.
- Investigates complaints, Accidents, and Incident Reports, assuring complete investigation and reporting.
- Responds to resident, family, and staff queries and resident conditions timely and appropriately.
- Supervises staff performance on his/her shift by making frequent shift rounds.
- Takes appropriate corrective action to assure compliance with facility policy & procedure.
- Assists with personnel administration on his/her shift, education, assignments, evaluation, and disciplinary action.
- Responsible for the results of resident care rendered on his/her shift.
- Perform Admisssions assessment and admit new residents
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Experience in Long Term Care Nursing
- Clinically knowledgeable and capable of making appropriate care and service decisions.
- Leadership qualities and administrative competency, or demonstrates potential for this.
- Reliable for attendance and punctuality.
- Good organizational and communication skills with all levels of staff and disciplines within the organization
- Flexibility for schedule and duties within the department, adaptable to changing situations.
