Cold Storage Warehouse Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, handling various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials.
• Perform order picking using RF scanners and ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders.
• Maintain organization within the warehouse by properly storing materials and managing inventory levels.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Follow OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Engage in heavy lifting and materials handling as required by specific tasks.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in warehouse management systems.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of order picking processes and shipping & receiving protocols.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
