The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment. This includes general cleaning, routine maintenance, managing cleaning supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.

Essential Duties Include:

• Be a team player with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Operate scrubber machine to sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs.
• Operate material handling equipment, golf carts, or any other machinery needed to clean and perform duties.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and event setups, as assigned.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed.
• Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or pest issues immediately.
• Ability to perform proper record‑keeping in the event of a chemical spill or similar incident.
• Follow established safety guidelines and procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and regulations.
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as operational needs require, including working until the job is complete.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to build consensus, foster positive relationships, and communicate effectively across departments and levels.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, able to deliver results in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to learn and apply Cold-Link Logistics Safety and Quality Standards.
• Janitorial, custodial, grounds maintenance, and forklift experience are bonuses but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safe handling procedures, and OSHA standards, preferred.
• Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

• Core working hours are Monday - Friday, but in rare emergency situations support when needed during overtime hours and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders/stairs, work on elevated surfaces and work in extreme temperatures and noise levels in a cold storage environment.
• Understanding that in this position you will be exposed to various cleaning chemicals. PPE provided.
• Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -20 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.
• This is a safety sensitive position. Applicants and employees in this role will be subject to pre-employment and ongoing substance screening, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy, to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
