Overview
We are seeking a motivated Equipment Maintenance and Repair person to keep our operations running top notch. This individual will perform preventative maintenance on various machines, read gauges, micrometers and calipers, and troubleshoot and fix machines to ensure they are operating properly. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and deep understanding of mechanics are crucial to this role. This role also requires physical stamina and strength, as you'll stand for long hours and occasionally carry heavy loads.

Responsibilities:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements such as cleaning, lubrication, and alignment
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems and or/using electrical testing instruments
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices including drives, pumps, hoists, and moving lifts
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools and measuring devices
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques, monitoring compliance
- Fabricates repair parts by using shop equipment
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Skills
- Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads
- Problem-solving and organizational skills
Pay: $25.00 - $34.50 per hour
