Cold Front Distribution, a leading DSD supplier, provides products to grocery and retail supply chains with a 17-state regional geography. Quality and precision drive our sales and service teams as we leverage every effort to optimize purchase, flow, sale and service of the most recognized national and regional brands of Ice Cream, Frozen Pizza and Frozen Prepared Foods in the industry.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support our Central Division. The position is based in the Springfield, MO area with some other responsibilities outside of that area. with some other responsibilities outside of that area, that can perform the essential duties that include but are not limited to:
Competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 DOE. Car provided (or car allowance) and potential 10% annual bonus.
- Achieves CFD safety goals; deliver on safety awareness programs accordingly to eliminate unsafe acts, eliminate workplace injuries, and lead the organization to achieve the goal of zero injuries.
- Delivers on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for as assigned by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Prospects, develops, and qualifies potential new business through networking, research, and cold calling.
- Develops and maintains best in class client relations for new and existing customers.
- Develops and implements a sales action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new accounts.
- Proficiently mines data to bring insight to internal and external customers to increase sales, provide best in class service, and close new business prospects; and presents this data in a concise and effective manner using reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other forms of communication for efficient decision making.
- Seeks/creates opportunities to expand business with current clients; identifies further business needs and develops and presents solutions.
- Assists Division Managers, and Area Managers with resets, service schedules, and sku rationalization.
- Up to 40% travel as required.
Minimum Qualifications include bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent, or four to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
