Position Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Policy Development:

- Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans.
- Lead the adoption of environmental policies and practices.
- Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental legislation.
- Stay updated on new environmental laws and regulations.
- Coordinate and prepare regulatory reporting and permit renewals.
- Monitoring & Auditing:

- Conduct environmental audits and impact assessments.
- Analyze and report environmental performance to stakeholders.
- Training & Communication:

- Train staff in environmental responsibilities and compliance.
- Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and internal departments.
- Operational Oversight:

- Manage pollution control, waste management, recycling, and conservation efforts.
- Oversee hazardous waste documentation and disposal.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring and sampling activities.
- Regulate the flow of reportable material (RM or FG) in and out the facility. Review requirements and work with area manager to establish compliance with regulations.
- Project & Vendor Management:

- Manage environmental service agreements and vendor contracts.
- Review construction/repair plans for environmental implications.
- Drive the MOC and CAPEX permitting portion.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage relationships with environmental consulting firms
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 - 7 years environmental experience preferably in chemical manufacturing including a direct working knowledge of environmental regulatory compliance programs involving air, stormwater, wastewater, spill prevention and control, hazardous substance storage and management, TCPA, PSM and waste management.
- 5 – 10 years of experience in environmental compliance or consulting.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations NPDES, TCEQ, RCRA, AST, SPCC, EPCRA, CAA, CWA, NJ DPCC, TCPA etc.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Experience with environmental permitting and reporting systems (i.e. CERS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental data platforms (i.e. GIS).
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
The Environmental Compliance Manager will ensure that Coim adheres to environmental laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to promote sustainable development, managing environmental risks, and maintaining regulatory compliance across all operational sites.
