CPS is seeking a Environmental Health and Safety Specialist/Trainer for its growing corporate office in Horsham, PA. Successful candidates must have diverse experience in development of Health and Safety Plans; conducting onsite audits and assessments for our clients; development of emergency and contingency plans; and knowledge of OSHA/RCRA regulatory compliance is a requirement
Responsibilities:
● Development and implementation of Health and Safety plans, including preparation of budgetary cost estimates to complete the plans.
● Conducting on site audits and assessments.
● Complete project risk evaluations and hazardous control planning.
● Prepare project accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis.
● Development of emergency and contingency plans.
● Participate on project teams with other consultants and engineers to solve problems for clients and provide guidance based on sound EHS principals.
● Written and oral status reports to CPS management on assigned projects on a regular basis. Identify and provide solutions to any project issues impacting the project schedule, budget, or regulatory compliance requirements.
● OSHA/RCRA regulatory compliance knowledge.
● Manage projects, budgets, scope, change orders and collections (from start to finish).
● Pro-actively troubleshoot and problem solve with practical client-focused solutions.
● Conducting and overseeing OSHA/RCRA/DOT training courses.
Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline required.
· The idea candidate will have 5 years of professional experience.
· Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification preferred.
· This position also requires detail-oriented individuals that possess extremely strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Knowledge of hazardous materials/waste management preferred.
