Summary
Cohenterprises, a hotel development and management company with properties throughout Frederick and Washington Counties is seeking an experienced part-time Human Resources Administrative Assistant for its Frederick office. Essential Functions
- Identify appropriate recruitment strategies, draft, and place ads in a variety of media.
- Screen applicants, complete background checks and reference checks, extend job offers and assist with other administrative tasks associated with hiring.
- Ensure personnel files are up to date and current including I-9 files, performance files, demographic data, and compliance acknowledgments.
- Assist in updating the company's bank of job descriptions and job postings, ensuring that all roles have accurate information on file.
- Perform benefits administration to include new hire enrollment, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees.
- Assist in the preparation of various compliance reports.
- Assist in implementing employee retention programs.
Competencies
- Experience with HR systems and databases.
- Fully proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Communication proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Excellent understanding and usage of time management and project management.
Qualifications
High school diploma required, a Bachelor's degree preferred.
A minimum of two years of Human Resources experience.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks to meet goals, as well as the ability to work independently.
Ability to professionally represent Cohenterprises and its affiliated companies.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
