SPECIALIST

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Specialist/Cashier in Miamisburg, OH, at our West Carrollton location . The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting administrative functions, weighing material on truck scale. Managing customer interactions and assisting in the overall operations location. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to travel to different yards.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Customer Service
  Greet customers and respond to inquiries related to scrap metal services.
  Assist customers with material drop-off and pickup scheduling.
  Maintain positive relationships with customers and provide accurate information regarding scrap metal pricing and services.
• Administrative Duties
  Process transactions, including weighing and pricing scrap metal loads.
  Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, pricing, and payments.
  Create and manage invoices, ensuring timely billing and payment processing.
• Data Management
  Input and update customer and inventory data in the company database.
  Generate reports on scrap metal sales, customer activities, and inventory levels.
  Monitor and maintain filing systems, both physical and digital.
• Communication
  Coordinate with the operations team to relay customer requests and operational updates.
• Compliance and Safety
  Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
• Physical Requirements
  Will cross train to help out the yard as needed
  May need to stand or sit for extended periods
  Ability to work outside in all types of weather
  Lifting of up to 50lbs may be required

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; additional education in business administration is a plus.
• Previous experience in an office environment, preferably within the recycling or manufacturing industry.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
