What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: WordPress Plugin Updates position at COHAP OUTREACH CORPORATION?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
We are searching for a volunteer who can assess our current WordPress plugins and make improvements to our use of them. Specifically, we leverage Stripe, WooCommerce, and GravityForms. A volunteer will update and configure requested plugins, and apply required theme or plugin updates.
Improving the website plugin functionality will help COHAP connect clients to services, streamline resource or donation processes, and remove technical barriers that delay housing-prevention support for veterans, formerly incarcerated individuals, survivors of domestic violence, and other vulnerable community members.
We will collaborate with the volunteer to define priorities, share existing documentation, and agree on site access, backups, and a testing approach so updates can be implemented safely and promptly.
COHAP OUTREACH CORPORATION Mission: COHAP Outreach Corporation is a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to preventing homelessness among vulnerable groups including veterans, formerly incarcerated individuals, aged-out of foster care young adults, domestic violence victims, and formerly incarcerated juveniles. We believe that everyone deserves a chance for a stable future, focusing on both protection from homelessness and empowerment to rebuild and thrive. Your support brings hope and resilience to countless lives. Together, we can foster a world where no one is left without shelter and every individual can look forward to tomorrow with confidence.
