What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire - Certified Volunteer position at Community Volunteer Fire Department?
This application is for volunteer firefighters with prior experience or certification. Those without experience or certification should apply for the Fire Academy.
The Community Volunteer Fire Department is a response department that provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, and technical rescue response to an estimated population of 150,000 people within a geographic area of approximately 25 square miles. We are recruiting men and women who are dedicated to helping their fellow citizens.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to submit at least 6 days of availability per month (12-Hour Shifts, weeknights and weekends) with additional opportunities available.
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have the following:
- TCFP Basic Firefighter Certification, or;
- SFFMA Firefighter II Certification, or;
- SFFMA Firefighter I Certification with experience, or;
- Course completion certificate from an academy meeting NFPA 1001 requirements, or;
- Documented equivalent training or experience.
Candidates who cannot provide documented training or experience must attend our Fire Academy
