In this role, you will
- Serve as a technical authority across all phases of software development, including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of the API platform and tooling
- Develop applications, frameworks, and tools for the API Core Engineering division to improve developer productivity and the SDLC process
- Build software applications using Node.js technologies and related programming languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript, along with comprehensive unit tests
- Develop CI/CD pipeline tools and frameworks using GitLab, Python, and shell scripts
- Partner with other development teams to support adoption of the API gateway and frameworks, resolving adoption and usage issues and answering consumer-team questions

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
- 3-5 years of software development experience using Node.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript, including experience with Python and scripting languages
- Experience developing comprehensive unit tests using Jest, Mocha, Chai, or an equivalent testing framework
- Hands-on experience building and operating services on public cloud (AWS strongly preferred), including designing and developing REST APIs or microservices with versioning, authentication/authorization, and documentation
- Proven experience with DevOps toolchains, including GitLab (CI/CD), Terraform (IaC), Git-based workflows, and source version control such as Git
- Strong understanding of software architecture, reliability, performance, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing), paired with a strategic, hands-on problem-solving mindset
- Experience developing APIs with API Gateway support
- Experience working with Platform teams
- Strong cloud experience, with AWS certifications considered a significant plus
