As a Senior AWS Cloud & Kubernetes Engineer, you will make an impact by leading the design, deployment, and optimization of our AWS-based container platforms. The annual salary for this position is between $91,000 - $107,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

In this role, you will
- Architect, build, and maintain containerized infrastructure using Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS CloudFormation.
- Deploy and support Kubernetes workloads in AWS environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust infrastructure solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions to automate reliable application delivery.
- Implement cloud security and compliance best practices across infrastructure and container platforms.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment workflows, and operational guides.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues to maintain platform stability and reliability.
- Monitor system performance metrics and contribute to continuous optimization initiatives.
- Share expertise and mentor junior engineers to strengthen team capabilities.
- Stay current with emerging cloud and container technologies and incorporate relevant improvements.

- 5 years of experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes administration
- Hands-on expertise with Docker and containerized application platforms
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
- Strong collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
