Job Tittle: Quality Assurance associate (CA7)

LOCATION: Berley Hights, NJ

Job Summary

Required skills: CICS and CA7 recycle, COBOL (Basic), CICS and CA7 (Medium), CA7 (Expert)Software refresh which includes JCL, PROC, CARD, COPY, LOAD from Production to QA regions. Date card and Unitech update in jobs, Run repair job to make all the tables to RW status.

• Quality Assurance associate at onsite, will engage in user acceptance testing activities, including participating in design sessions, creating test deliverables, executing tests, and logging defects. Will report testing status and escalate issues to test management.
• As well as monitor and executing test activities across projects of varying sizes, identifying, and automating repetitive test scenarios to enhance efficiency of the Change release cycle.
• Associates will also handle various tasks to ensure efficient data refresh processes.
• This includes preparing test strategies, creating change requests for data extraction, coordinating refresh activities, and communicating with applications for confirmation. Manage data unloading and loading, perform CICS procedures, back up libraries, and refresh elements like JCL, PROC, and CARD. Additionally, will execute DB2 loads, verify tables, create and execute bind statements, and handle post-refresh processes. The role also involves data masking, running repair jobs, and validating refreshing activities.
• Regular tasks include refreshing repositories, managing schedules, resolving issues, creating reports, and participating in status calls.
• We will provide SOP, and the Cognizant team will follow the steps mentioned in the SOP.
• Provide environmental support services for specific applications and related modules.
• Prepare test data for unit testing, regression testing, system testing, and production parallel testing.
• Assist in the creation of test plan, test strategy for each release.
• Gathering requirements in test readiness call for different projects
• Create multiple change records creation for extracting data from PROD.
• Database Refresh to unload tables from Production to QA regions.
• Software refresh which includes JCL, PROC, CARD, COPY, LOAD from Production to QA regions.
• VSAM and flat file refresh from Production to QA regions.
• Bind statement creation and execution
• Masking the card numbers from the DB2 tables and loading the table in QA
• Run repair job to make all the tables to RW status.
• Ad-hoc request (project specific file copies and job executions, EMER request (Moving code from Stage lib)
• CICS and CA7 recycling
• Date card and Unitech update in jobs
• Test file processing from different Frontend applications.
• Meeting all the SLA's and sending it to Associations.
• Schedule executions in CA7, need to involve in monitoring and managing batch processing operations, troubleshooting and ensuring timely completion of batch jobs
• Sending report on different applications for Business team validation
• Document and communicate defects to the team and stakeholders.
• Creation of abend report and follow up with App team for permanent fix.
• Create the Test Closure reports and send daily hand over email
• Cognizant team will escalate to the L3 team for any unresolved issues

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $105,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
