Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server databases.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
- Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage database security, user access, and permissions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Support database deployments, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations and processes.
- Collaborate with application teams to optimize queries and improve performance.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with organizational standards.
- 3–5 years of experience as an MS SQL Database Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server installation, configuration, and administration.
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Proficiency in backup and recovery techniques.
- Familiarity with high availability solutions (Always On, clustering, replication).
- Understanding of security best practices and role-based access control.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
