What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technician position at CognITek Group?
We have a great opportunity for a strong Maintenance Technician near Irvine PA. This position will maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs in a heavy industrial environment including but not limited to hydraulics and pneumatics, mobile equipment, electrical/electronic devices and controls, motors, overhead cranes, and large production machines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Abides by all safety regulations and work rules and applicable quality policies
- Meets required attendance standards
- Responsible for the accurate completion of documentation
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks
- Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems
- Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
- Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts using ruler calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work,
- Perform welding/fabricating as needed
- Use hoists, cranes, and hand powered tools to dismantle devices and or remove defective parts
- Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists
- Responsible for communicating stocking needs of parts and supplies
- Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished
- Performs other duties, assignments and projects as necessary
EXPEIENCE
- Two-year technical certification or training in mechanical maintenance
- 2 years applicable experience in a manufacturing environment
- Willingness to attend training for position which could include travel
- Experience with a range of electrical systems including 480v and 12v
- Experience with PLC’s and CNC equipment
- Basic welding experience
- Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment

Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour
