Position: Director of Student Activities
Location: Stow, Massachusetts, Masters Academy International
Start Date: July 1, 2026
Masters Academy International
Masters Academy International (MAI) is New England’s only school that intentionally integrates professional-level athletic training with Tier 1 academics to prepare future leaders who excel in sport, scholarship, and life. Our students pursue ambitious goals on the field and in the classroom, and the residential experience is an essential part of that journey.
At MAI, the life students live outside the classroom is just as important as the work they do within it. A vibrant, well-designed residential life program builds community, supports well-being, and helps young people develop independence, leadership, and global awareness.
About the Role
MAI seeks a Director of Student Activities to design and lead a dynamic residential life experience that enriches the lives of our student-athletes beyond the classroom and the playing field. This leader will shape the social, cultural, and recreational life of the campus, creating meaningful opportunities for connection, exploration, and leadership. The Director of Student Activities is responsible for developing a comprehensive activities program that engages a diverse student body while strengthening community culture and supporting student well-being. This includes overseeing student clubs and leadership organizations, designing weekend and evening programming, developing unique campus traditions, and ensuring all activities are safe, inclusive, and well executed. This role requires a creative program designer, an exceptional relationship builder, and a disciplined operational leader. The ideal candidate understands the rhythms of boarding school life and thrives in environments where community, mentorship, and student leadership are central to the mission.
What You Will Do
The Director of Student Activities will oversee the operational and strategic coordination of student life programming, including managing the student activities budget, maintaining the campus activities calendar, and coordinating logistics for events, trips, and shared activity spaces. The role works closely with residential, academic, and athletics leadership to ensure strong alignment across the student experience while supervising event planning processes and supporting effective student governance. The director also ensures compliance with school policies and safeguarding standards, monitors student conduct at events, and serves as a key liaison with families, faculty, and school leadership while supporting orientation programs and maintaining clear, consistent communication with the wider community.
Who You Are
We are seeking a mission-aligned educator who is deeply committed to student well-being and character formation. The ideal candidate is a creative and thoughtful program designer who enjoys building meaningful experiences for young people and is comfortable working with a diverse, international student population. This individual is highly organized and operationally strong, able to manage complex logistics and multiple events while maintaining a calm, approachable presence as a trusted mentor to students. They thrive in collaborative environments, build strong partnerships with faculty, residential staff, and administrators, and believe that student leadership and active engagement are essential to fostering a healthy and vibrant community.

•Strong organizational and project management skills.
•Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by residential programming.
•Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in education, student affairs, or a related field preferred.
