About the Role:
York Prep School is seeking an experienced Upper School Science Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for teaching up to four sections of science to students in grades 6–12, with a particular focus on high school–level courses, while taking on faculty duties as assigned. You will plan and deliver engaging, well-structured instruction that supports student progress and scientific inquiry. Reporting to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for STEAM, you will collaborate with the Department Chair and colleagues across the school to support student success and shared initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Science Teacher with strong content knowledge and experience teaching upper school courses, including a range of levels and ideally AP classes. You hold a bachelor’s degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field (with an advanced degree and teaching certification preferred) and have experience differentiating instruction to support diverse learners, including students with language-based learning differences. You are passionate about helping students grow as confident scientific thinkers and bring effective classroom management, clear communication, and data-informed teaching to your practice. You are committed to inclusive, culturally responsive teaching, meaningful use of educational technology, and upholding York Prep School’s mission, values, and safeguarding responsibilities.
