SAP OTC (Order-to-Cash) Lead Architect

Client is seeking a highly experienced SAP OTC (Order-to-Cash) Lead Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of end-to-end order management, sales, billing, and revenue-related business processes across complex enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), SAP S/4HANA Sales, and enterprise OTC transformation programs. This individual will be responsible for defining solution architecture, driving process standardization, leading design decisions, and ensuring seamless integration across SAP Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, and external enterprise applications.
The candidate must combine deep functional expertise with strong solution architecture capabilities, business process understanding, and the ability to engage with senior business and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. SAP OTC Solution Architecture
- Own end-to-end SAP OTC solution architecture across order management, pricing, delivery processing, shipping, billing, and financial integration.
- Lead SAP SD and SAP S/4HANA Sales solution design for complex enterprise business requirements.
- Define architecture principles, solution standards, integration strategies, and design governance for OTC processes.
- Lead fit-to-standard workshops, business requirement analysis, fit-gap assessments, and solution design reviews.
- Drive SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives, including greenfield implementations, brownfield conversions, and selective data transitions.
- Develop scalable and sustainable solutions while minimizing unnecessary custom development.
- Ensure alignment between global process standards and business-specific requirements across multiple entities, regions, and operating units.
2. End-to-End Order-to-Cash Process Leadership
- Architect and optimize the complete OTC lifecycle, including:
- Customer inquiry and quotation management.
- Sales order creation and processing.
- Availability checks and delivery scheduling.
- Pricing procedures, condition techniques, and discounts.
- Outbound delivery, picking, packing, and goods issue.
- Billing, invoicing, credit management, and revenue-related integration.
- Returns, credit memos, debit memos, and customer dispute handling.
- Intercompany sales, third-party sales, and complex order fulfillment.
- Design solutions for customer master and Business Partner management, partner determination, output management, and customer-specific requirements.
- Drive improvements in order fulfillment, billing accuracy, pricing governance, and OTC process efficiency.
- Support complex pricing, rebates, contracts, and condition-based business scenarios as applicable.
3. SAP S/4HANA Sales Expertise
- Lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Sales solutions.
- Evaluate the impact of S/4HANA simplifications and changes to traditional SAP SD processes.
- Leverage SAP Fiori applications and standard S/4HANA capabilities to improve business operations.
- Drive customer and Business Partner data harmonization and migration.
- Define integration approaches for modern SAP landscapes and connected enterprise systems.
- Support architecture decisions involving SAP BTP and integration platforms where appropriate.
4. Cross-Functional Integration
- Architect seamless integration between SAP SD/OTC and:
- SAP FI/CO: Billing accounting, revenue postings, accounts receivable, tax, and profitability analysis.
- SAP MM: Third-party sales, stock availability, procurement, and material movements.
- SAP PP: Make-to-order, production planning, and delivery commitments.
- SAP WM/EWM: Picking, packing, staging, warehouse execution, and goods issue.
- SAP TM: Transportation planning, freight execution, and logistics integration, where applicable.
- SAP GTS and tax solutions: Trade compliance, export controls, and tax determination, where applicable.
- External CRM, e-commerce, EDI, customer portals, and third-party logistics systems.
- Define integration patterns, data flows, interface standards, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, functional leads, developers, and integration teams to resolve complex cross-system issues.
