Operations Analyst is responsible for capturing and presenting data used to track Key Performance Indicators and help make crucial decisions within Operations. The Operations Analyst will interact with and learn from people throughout the company to capture and analyze data that will be used to make critical business decisions. You will work with various organizations like Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Program Managers, Supply Chain Professionals and Order Administration. This key position within the Operations team is intended to be a feeder role into other areas of the business including Program Management, Logistics and Supply Chain. During your time in the Operations Analyst role, you will learn the following tools: SAP reporting Microsoft Power BI Root Cause and Corrective Action Measures (RCCM) MRP planning functionality Lean Manufacturing Problem Solving and investigative skills Roles & Responsibilities Track and develop Supply Chain KPIs for the Americas region, including and especially Operations’ most crucial metric: On-Time Delivery (OTD). Conduct root-cause analysis and use data to drive resolution to metric disruptions Communicate operational achievements Field ad-hoc reporting requests from the Senior Management Team Support Production, Shipping, and Inventory teams through backlog review and evaluation of data Become a subject matter expert on SAP functionality for the Operations Department Help solve problems and lead projects and Continuous Improvement initiatives Basic Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or another related field 1-3 years’ experience in Data Analytics, Manufacturing, Distribution, or other Supply Chain function(s) Proficient or advanced knowledge of analytical tools, specifically Microsoft Excel (knowledge of advanced formulas and functions, Data Analysis Tools, Data Visualization etc) and PowerPoint A desire to research and investigate workflows and business procedures and recommend changes A self-starting, driven mindset with the ability to learn on the job An aptitude to develop, generate and review statistics, graphs, and numeric data Prior experience with SAP and/or Microsoft Power BI preferred Cognex believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $52,000 USD - $112,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a sales incentive plan.
