Cogent, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated and dependable Field Service Foreman to help lead a team for our rental pump division. This position requires a high level of planning, prioritizing and supervision of other field service technicians in a fast-paced environment. This position interacts with our service department, customers and vendors and comes with a high level of responsibility. This position works out of our Riverside, MO facility.
What You’ll Do
As Rental Service Foreman, you will be responsible for the interaction daily with the field team and will be in the field on a daily basis. This position will lead the team and ensure they have proper knowledge and resources to achieve overall company and personal success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works alone or with others to install, service and maintain various types of rotating equipment typically found in the water and wastewater industry frequently working under tight deadlines to prevent customers from going into environmental violation.
- Utilizes specific repair reports to accurately document all aspects of repair estimates, adjustments, repairs and failure diagnosis, including part numbers, part descriptions, estimated labor hours, actual labor hours, mileage, vehicle usage and descriptions of work required to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assists in planning and review of new or modified installations for mechanical and or electrical systems.
- Overseeing employees as well as organizing crews, delegating job responsibilities, and verifying the appropriate equipment is available and on-site to complete the project/job
- Trains and mentors of Field Technicians.
- Completes and submits daily work orders, JSA’s, and expenses for proper billing to the customer.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Reports all work-related accidents/incidents to their supervisor immediately
- Responsible for service vehicle maintenance scheduling and documentation.
- Works as an “Emergency Responder” as necessary. May work more than 8 hours on any particular day or on off-hours. Subject to overtime and occasional overnight travel on short notice.
Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent proven electro-mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills.
- High level communication and organization skills, as well as a positive attitude towards customer service required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required; Class A CDL with air brake endorsement or ability to possess CDL within 6 months of hire is required.
- High school diploma or GED required; degree from a Technical or Vocational school in Mechanics or Electronics preferred.
- Minimum three years’ experience in the installation and repair of piping systems preferred.
- Minimum three years’ experience in installation, maintenance and repair of submersible pumps or other rotating equipment generally found in water and wastewater facilities preferred.
- Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment and materials required.
- Ability to work outdoors under extreme weather conditions required.
- Ability to work under little supervision.
- Basic computer knowledge required (Gmail, Word, Excel).
