Position Overview

The Senior Azure Cloud Architect will serve as a strategic advisor to the agency, providing expertise in Azure architecture, cloud security, and modernization initiatives. The role will focus on cloud migration strategies, refactoring, and implementation of Azure-based services to support organizational objectives.

Strong communication skills are essential, as candidates must be able to clearly articulate their technical experience during interviews. Technical vetting is required prior to submission. Candidates must complete interviews without the assistance of AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise the agency on architecture and security considerations related to Azure, including in-place migrations and refactoring initiatives.

• Recommend solutions for:

  • Lift-and-shift migrations

  • On-premises to cloud-native transitions

  • Refactoring and optimization within Azure

• Perform Azure-based proof-of-concept testing to validate architecture and demonstrate MVP outcomes.

• Apply a strong understanding of services offered by COV, MSI, and connected parties to guide design recommendations.

• Configure Azure resources and services in support of agency-level objectives and deployment initiatives.

• Sign and adhere to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
