Key Responsibilities
Staffing & Recruitment:
- Manage recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding: Oversee the entire staffing process to ensure the company attracts and retains the best talent
- Maintain compliant job descriptions: Ensure all job descriptions are clear, specific, and aligned with local, state, and federal regulations
- Address talent gaps and turnover: Partner with management to identify and fill talent gaps and implement strategies to reduce turnover
- Implement performance programs and reviews: Develop and oversee performance management programs to ensure employees understand their responsibilities and performance expectations
- Manage promotions, career development, and terminations: Ensure consistent and fair management of employee promotions, career development opportunities, and terminations
- Provide feedback and guidance: Use performance management tools to offer regular feedback and guidance to employees and teams
- Design competitive compensation strategies: Create and implement compensation strategies based on market research and industry standards
- Analyze compensation and benefits trends: Regularly review and analyze trends to ensure the company offers competitive compensation and benefits packages
- Oversee payroll compliance: Ensure payroll processes comply with state and federal laws and are distributed accurately and on time
- Ensure regulatory compliance: Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and labor laws
- Maintain employee records: Keep accurate and up-to-date employee records, including licenses and certifications
- Implement safety programs and training: Develop and conduct safety programs and training sessions with the Safety Manager to prevent workplace accidents and injuries
- Develop and track training programs: Assess training needs and develop materials to enhance skills, safety, and compliance
- Ensure up-to-date employee training: Track and ensure all employees complete the required training, especially for roles requiring certifications
- Conduct training reviews: Regularly review training programs to ensure their effectiveness and relevance
- Align HR strategies with business goals: Ensure HR strategies support the company’s overall business objectives, such as improving operational efficiency and supporting initiatives like “go-green” or safety-first practices
- Support HR staff and ensure policy consistency: Provide guidance to HR staff and ensure consistent application of HR policies
- Collaborate on labor needs: Work with project managers to forecast labor needs for each project and adjust plans as necessary
- Resolve employee issues and ensure fair treatment: Investigate and resolve employee issues, ensuring fair treatment and effective conflict resolution
- Foster a positive work culture: Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages employee engagement and retention
- Maintain HR systems and processes: Ensure HR systems and processes, such as employee directories and organization charts, are up-to-date and efficient
- Implement efficient onboarding and offboarding: Streamline onboarding and offboarding processes using HR technology
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
- 4 years in human resources is required; experience in construction is preferred
- Bilingual in both Spanish and English is required
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management practices
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MS Office and safety software
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
