What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder - Fabricator Structural/Sheet Metal position at Cogbill Construction, LLC?
Cogbill Construction is looking for an EXPERIENCED SHEET METAL / PLATE / STRUCTURAL WELDER & FABRICATOR who can:
- Read blueprints
- Fit/TAC
- Operate press brakes a plus
- Operate plate rolls a plus
- Operate other fab. shop machinery
- Weld (FCAW, GMAW), mostly
Requirements:
- MUST RESIDE IN THE SOUTHEAST TEXAS REGION. NO PER DIEM.
- 5-7 years as welder and fabricator, especially in plate, structural, and sheet metal.
- Proficient in reading Plate/structural blueprints and layouts.
- 2 years experience operating press brakes, shears, plate rolls, IronWorkers, band saws, drills, punches, torches, etc.
- Pass drug and background checks.
- Have valid driver license
Preferences:
- Strong welding capabilities: Fluxcore, MIG.
- Computer Skills.
- Mathematical skills.
Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours plus overtime, mostly shop work, no travel required. Health insurance, paid vacation days, 401K, performance bonuses, and 4x10 schedule Monday to Thursday.
