Auto / Transportation Associate Attorney

Coffey Modica LLP is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing Auto / Transportation practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience handling transportation, trucking, automobile liability, and general insurance defense matters and will be looking to grow their litigation career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators on high exposure matters from inception through trial.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and trial preparation
• Handle transportation, trucking, automobile liability, and related insurance defense matters
• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and the court
• Conduct legal research and draft reports, motions, and legal memoranda
• Work collaboratively with attorneys across offices and practice groups

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in New York
• 2–5 years of litigation experience preferred
• Experience in transportation, automobile liability, trucking, or insurance defense preferred
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while working in a team-oriented environment
• Trial and deposition experience is a plus
