Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages using espresso machines and POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using cash handling and cashiering skills
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food handling and food preparation tasks
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously with effective time management to ensure prompt service
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Restock supplies, clean equipment, and ensure the café environment is inviting and organized
- Follow health regulations and safety procedures related to food service and food safety
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café operations
- Experience in food safety, food handling, and food preparation within the food industry
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
