What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Coffee Express?
**Barista — Coffee Express (Bangor, ME)**
Coffee Express — 308 State Street, Bangor — is under new ownership and hiring baristas. We're a double-sided drive-thru coffee shop minutes from the hospital, and mornings here move fast.
**The role:** Craft espresso drinks to recipe, keep the drive-thru window moving, and give every car a reason to come back tomorrow.
**What you'll do:**
- Prepare lattes, iced coffee, hot coffee, chai, shaken espresso, cold brew, and our Energizer line
- Run the drive-thru window: take orders, handle payment, hand off drinks
- Keep the bar stocked and clean through the rush: cups, lids, dairy, syrups, ice
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and cash-handling standards
- Open/close duties as assigned
**What we're looking for:**
- Fast, friendly, and calm when there's a line of cars
- Morning availability
- Comfortable on a POS system (we run Toast) and handling cash/cards
- Barista experience is a plus, not a requirement — we'll train the right person
- Part or full time available. $16/hour tips
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
