Responsibilities
- On-site management of projects through all stages of the project life cycle from initiation through to project close out
- Manage internal and external project stakeholder relationships to move the projects through various development stages, implementation and handover
- Develop and maintain a consistent application of project management methodology and guidelines for assigned projects
- Develop and implement a series of key project deliverables through the use of KPI’s, scorecards and dashboards that will be reported to Executive Management
- Ensure and oversee that health and safety principles are incorporated into project management scope to reduce/eliminate control risks.
- Manage contractor and vendor RFP selection and approval process
- Support the development of expansionary and project management planning and controls
- Work closely with business development and operations to identify opportunities to enhance Coeur’s strategic portfolio as needed
- Manage and contribute to due diligence studies by supporting technical and economic evaluations of new business opportunities as needed
- Assist in the standardization and development of high voltage programs across business units and apply these standards to electrical infrastructure and distribution systems within the corporate project portfolio.
- Assist and implement programs within the corporate project portfolio for standardized testing for power distribution assets.
- Develop and implement standard approach to electrical distribution and instrumentation pre-commissioning and commissioning plans for all electrical assets as it relates to corporate projects.
- Develop and implement programs to ensure new electrical assets within the corporate project portfolio support redundancy for operations, are not subject to obsolescence and future-proof the business needs.
- Development and implementation of electrical safety policy(s) and standards to align with improvements in delivery of the corporate project portfolio.
- Develop and apply standards for implementation of business unit automation and controls systems for all corporate projects.
- Assist in business unit electrical system troubleshooting, support and failure analysis as required.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key industry partners/vendors/suppliers for assessment of new technology opportunities and support for existing business unit electrical infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Sciences, Business required. MBA preferred but not required
- Approximately 10-15 years of capital project management, electrical systems and engineering design and construction management experience in the mining, oil and gas, chemicals, heavy industrial industries required
- Strong operational experience along with advanced technical analysis skills including the ability to understand engineering design, metallurgical test work and operational data
- Strong leadership experience included the ability to mentor and coach required
Salary : $195,000 - $200,000
