Job Title: Java Architect – BFSI Domain

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Java Architect with deep expertise in Java technologies and a strong background in the insurance industry. You will be responsible for designing scalable and secure enterprise applications that meet the evolving needs of insurance products and operations, including policy management, claims processing, underwriting, and customer portals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design of Java-based insurance platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand insurance domain requirements (life, health, P&C, etc.)
- Create architecture blueprints, solution designs, and integration strategies with legacy and third-party systems
- Guide and mentor development teams across the SDLC
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, IRDAI)
- Optimize system performance, ensure high availability, and manage risk in production systems
- Integrate with core insurance systems: policy admin, claims, billing, CRM, and agent portals
- Drive adoption of microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native design in insurance applications
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and business analysts to deliver high-quality software
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8 years of hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, etc.)
- 3 years in architecting enterprise-grade applications
- Proven experience in insurance domain (Life, P&C, Health, etc.)
- Strong understanding of insurance business processes and standards (e.g., ACORD messaging, ISO standards)
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and integration with legacy systems
- Solid background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
